    Clinical Director - Young people (18 and below) - £120 - Adults - £110 CBT Therapists - Young people (18 and below) - £110 - Adults - £100
  • What happens during an initial assessment?
This is a 50 minute session. We ask about what your difficulties are, complete questionnaires, a risk assessment and what your goals for therapy are. As it’s the first time we meet you can answer as much as you feel comfortable to along with asking any questions you also wish to. From there you decide if you would like to book further sessions.
  • How many sessions will I need?
This will vary depending on what your goals are. CBT sessions can range from 6-20 sessions. This is initially weekly and then this gradually reduces. We can also be flexible depending on what you would like. You can look at NICE guidelines if you’d like to learn more.
  • Why do I need to do homework/self-practice?
The aim of CBT is to become your own therapist. You can do great work in a session however a lot of the learning will come from making changes in your daily life. This is something we plan in session and it’s not designed to be overwhelming. We then review it at your next session. If it doesn’t go the way you expect, that’s normal! We talk about why that may have been and where we go from there. You can’t fail at it!
  • Will sessions be confidential?
After the assessment we write a brief letter to your GP to explain you have had an assessment and what the plan is. We comply with all necessary policies which will be found in your therapy contract. If someone presents with a risk to themselves or others, we then discuss who this information needs to be shared with to ensure you are getting the right level of support
  • What is the cancellation policy?
If you cancel within 48 hours we ask the session is paid for.
